Horror Anthology Competition
Horror-themed writing contest: win up to £150 plus publication
Swansea & District Writers' Circle has just launched a horror-themed writing competition.
There are three categories to enter and well-known Welsh writers as judges:
Scary short stories
1st prize £150, Runner up £50 – Judged by novelist Catrin Collier.
Stories of between 1,500 to 2,500 words – Entry: £6 per story.
Spine-chilling scripts
1st prize £150, Runner up £50 – Judged by TV scriptwriter Rob Gittins.
TV/film/radio/stage scripts of up to 25 minutes (25 pages) – Entry: £6 per script.
Eerie poems
1st prize £100, Runner up £35 – Judged by poet Sally Spedding.
Poems of up to 42 lines – Entry: £4 per poem.
Deadline for entries: 20 May 2016

All winners will have the opportunity to see their work in a horror anthology, to be published October 2016 in time for Halloween. The book will be in electronic and hard copy with a cover designed by Welsh artist of the extraordinary and the macabre, Steve Upham.
